The Sunshine Coast is the name of the north-western tip of Viti Levu, Fiji's main island. The high average sunshine in this region is perfect for good weather for your wedding in Fiji. The Sunshine Coast generally includes Volivoli Point round to Viti Levu Bay, as well as the nearby islands of Nananu-i-Ra,and Nananu-i-Cake. The islands are encircled by reef structures, creating romantic views of turquoise and blue ocean and blue skies.

Getting to the Sunshine Coast

One of the best things about the Sunshine Coast is that one can access the Sunshine Coast resorts by road direct from Nadi International Airport. The journey takes about two hours and along the way you will find ocean views to your left and dramatic highland views to your right. Sugar cane fields give way to green pastoral land with grazing cattle, and nearer your destination you will start to see offshore islands.

Where to Get Married on the Sunshine Coast

This region is not as prolific in resorts and hotels as some other parts of Fiji, but there are a number of excellent choices one can make for a tropical wedding or renewal of vows.

Wananavu Resort - This established resort changed hands a few years ago and has been upgraded.
